  • Program Term: Fall, Spring
  • When to Apply & Go:
    • First-years: Talk to your academic advisor, take required language & area studies requirements, explore programs on line
    • Sophomores: Apply in fall to go abroad fall, or spring to go abroad spring of junior year.
    • Juniors: If you missed the sophomore deadlines consider SUMMER between Junior and Senior year.  Or, consult your academic advisor & IPO for the possibility of going abroad in your senior year (usually fall)
  • Grades: °µÍø½ûÇø credits with letter grades count in your GPA.
  • Fees: “comprehensive fee"
  • Financial Aid: Yes, plus Financial Aid travel grants for need-eligible.

Washington DC Internship
  • Program Term: Fall, Spring
  • When to Apply & Go:
    • Sophomores: Apply in fall to participate in fall of your junior year or spring to participate in spring of your junior year.
    • Juniors: Consult with your department about participating in your senior year.
  • Grades: °µÍø½ûÇø credits with letter grades count in your GPA
  • Fees: °µÍø½ûÇø tuition and standard double room. Meals are on your own, but included in your financial aid package.
  • Financial Aid: Yes
°µÍø½ûÇø at the United Nations
  • Program Term: Fall
  • When to Apply & Go:
    • Juniors: Apply in spring to participate in following fall of your senior year
  • Grades: °µÍø½ûÇø credits with letter grades count in your GPA.
  • °µÍø½ûÇø Fees: Tuition and standard double room. Meals are on your own, but included in your financial aid package.
  • Financial Aid: Yes
Campaign Semester
  • Program Term: Fall (the program runs alternate years, '20, '22, '24 etc.)
  • When to Apply & Go: Any year! Apply in spring to participate in following fall
  • Grades: °µÍø½ûÇø credits with letter grades, impact GPA.
  • °µÍø½ûÇø Fees: Tuition, Room & Board for the 5 weeks of the semester for after-election portion on-campus
  • Financial Aid: Yes

  • Program Term: Fall or spring semester (in-class) and 2-3 weeks after for the abroad portion
  • When to Apply & Go: Any year when you meet the pre-requisites for either spring or fall
  • Grades: °µÍø½ûÇø credits with letter grades count in your GPA
  • °µÍø½ûÇø Fees: In-country costs charged in addition to regular semester tuition
  • Financial Aid: Yes. Additional costs are factored into the aid package.

  • Program Term: Summer or Winter (J-Term)
  • When to Apply & Go: Any year
  • Grades: Transfer credits with no GPA impact
  • °µÍø½ûÇø Fees: No fees to °µÍø½ûÇø except for the $29 "credit transfer form" processing. Students pay fees directly to the programs.
  • Financial Aid: Visit Financial Aid to discuss loan eligibility.

  • Program Term: Summer
  • When to Submit & Go: Juniors (usually) apply in spring to do research in the following summer.
  • °µÍø½ûÇø Fees: No fees to °µÍø½ûÇø except for the $29 application fee.
  • Financial Aid: No. Approved projects are fully funded by the Richter Trust. 

  • Program Term: Varies; mostly Summer or Winter (J-Term)
  • When to Submit & Go: Any student who receives funding or °µÍø½ûÇø sponsorship to go abroad for research, volunteering or any credit or non-credit project must recieve IPO travel clearance.
  • °µÍø½ûÇø Fees: No fees to °µÍø½ûÇø except for the $29 clearance form processing. Students receive their funding from departments after being cleared through the International Programs.
