Lena is a Clinical Psychology Trainee pursuing her M.A. at Pepperdine University, who under the clinical supervision of the Director of Counseling will provide individual and group counseling services to the °µÍø½ûÇø student body. She earned her BFA in Performance from Texas Christian University and brings over twenty years of experience as a professional performer, educator, and coach. At Occidental, Lena is eager to support students in navigating both academic and personal challenges, with particular interests in trauma-informed care, somatics, mindfulness, and the role of nervous system regulation in resilience. Additionally, Lena has recently completed EMDR training and thus will be able to offer EMDR services. She is excited to learn from and with the °µÍø½ûÇø community while fostering safe and collaborative spaces for growth. 

 

Lena enjoys singing, movies, and traveling with her daughter. Fun fact: if you recognize her voice, it may be from television or video games like Five Nights at Freddy’s.
